All the roman blinds I make are hand finished with no visible stitching
to the front. They can be interlined as well for a more luxurious effect and
enhanced with borders or trims. I also make linen voile roman blinds with
transparent bars which are a great modern alternative to net curtains.
Blinds can be mounted on traditional wooden headrails (covered with your
chosen fabric) and raised and lowered using pulls and cleats which come in a
variety of finishes including brass, chrome, brushed steel, black, white and
pewter.
Alternatively, the blind can be fitted to an aluminium mechanism and
operated by pulling on a chain (similar to roller blinds). Chains come in
white, brass, chrome or nickel finishes and this system is particularly
suitable for wider blinds.
